I will reach higher;
If I happen to fall,
I will get up,
Dust myself off
And try again.
I will look farther;
If I don’t see at all,
I will grow still,
Quietly wait,
Carefully attend.
I will hope stronger;
Obey the deeper call
Of my own heart;
The soft voice of
My inward friend.

I am like a rich tapestry, full of texture and color.
I'm a musician, composer, poet, gardener, homemaker and friend. I worked as anLCSW for 22 years; as a socialworker for 26 years all told. Before that, I was a rehabilitation teacher.
My passion is to come alongside others; to empower and bless them. That is why you will find plenty of variety in my blog.
Two very important things to know about me is that I am a life-long learner - An explorer and sojourner.
I also belong to the Lord Jesus...now, before you get tweeked out: I am not saying I am "religious." There is a huge difference between all of the rules and empty practice that often gets associated with Christianity and the kind of life that comes from being in a relationship with the loving God.
May you find encouragement, inspiration, insight, good ideas and a laugh or two as you read my posts and comments.

Thank you.
I love ❤ the fact that you recognize the power of determination. Keep pushing, learning, and growing regardless of what life puts in front of you. You recognize that there is a deeper call that must be heard, and once you do that, you can make anything happen.
Thank you. I think one of the most important lessons I ever learned is that we need to “live from the inside out.”
Very positive…. love it
Thank you. I think we could all use some positivity these days.
Following the soft voice of the inward friend is the simplest way to find peace and happiness! Beautiful poem! 🙂
Thank you. I do agree; in fact, I know of no other way to find real peace.
