Just when you think you’ve had enough;
The cold gets you down;
Trudging through snow seems so rough,
Out come lovely heralds of Spring:
Some of them blooming
While others start to sing.
Just about the time you give in
To endless Winter,
All around you will begin
To awaken and give new birth
So is the cycle
Of life on Mother Earth.

I am like a rich tapestry, full of texture and color.
I'm a musician, composer, poet, gardener, homemaker and friend. I worked as anLCSW for 22 years; as a socialworker for 26 years all told. Before that, I was a rehabilitation teacher.
My passion is to come alongside others; to empower and bless them. That is why you will find plenty of variety in my blog.
Two very important things to know about me is that I am a life-long learner - An explorer and sojourner.
I also belong to the Lord Jesus...now, before you get tweeked out: I am not saying I am "religious." There is a huge difference between all of the rules and empty practice that often gets associated with Christianity and the kind of life that comes from being in a relationship with the loving God.
May you find encouragement, inspiration, insight, good ideas and a laugh or two as you read my posts and comments.

Nice poem! 🙂 It appeared very mystical to me..What inspired you to compose this..I would love to know. 🙂
I’m glad you like it. I wrote this a couple of weeks ago. We were in the middle of a cold snap, but I was thinking about how that would soon change. As a matter of fact, I heard my first robin of the year last week! Life is a lot like cycles in nature: There are the times that seem cold and hard; that seem like they will never end; then, a new season comes along.
Nice! 🙂 Do you get inspired by Nature mostly, when you write poems?
I hadn’t really thought about that, but I would have to say yes.
