A couple of days ago, NgobesingRomanus posted this on
and asked what people thought.
It’s really quite intriguing and thought provoking:
“If you are going to be successful in creating the life of your dreams, you have to believe that you are capable of making it happen.
You have to believe you have the stuff, that you are able to pull it off.
You have to believe in your self, whether you call it self-esteem, self-confidence, or self-assurance,
it is a deep-seated belief that you have what it takes the abilities, inner resources, talents, and skills to create your desired results.”
– Jack Canfield.
Thank you for this gem, Ngobesing Romanus; I went and considered it for a while; now I have some quotes in return:
“Believe you can and you’re halfway there.”
Theodore Roosevelt
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
Eleanor Roosevelt
“I believe that God has put gifts and talents and ability on the inside of every one of us. When you develop that and you believe in yourself and you believe that you’re a person of influence and a person of purpose, I believe you can rise up out of any situation.”
Joel Osteen
“We are what we believe we are.”
“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.”
“There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind.”
CS Lewis
…and just for fun…
“Some day you will be old enough to start reading fairy tales again.”
Also by CS Lewis
One thing that catches my attention is the tremendous struggle we have when it comes to believing in God and ourselves. We can all think of scams and advertisements that are “too good to be true.”
When it comes to God’s goodness, all that HE puts into us and the wonderful possibilities we each have, however, it is very good… AND true!
Thanks for sharing these excellent quotes. Its wonderful.
Good one!
