It is almost impossible for me to name a favorite flower; I like all of them.
Having said that, there is one thing I especially appreciate about sunflowers: They always face the sun. In the morning, they turn to the east; at noon, they look straight up; in the afternoon, they direct their gaze to the west.
They are such happy flowers! It’s as though they have smiling faces surrounded by yellow fringe.
I want to be like them, always facing the light; exuding joy wherever I go.
